Can having bronchitis while pregnant hurt the baby?

Im about 20 weeks and i cough and blow my nose constantly. It jolts my poor baby everytime and Im afraid I might be putting him under distress. I've lost 8 pounds in the last couple days as well due to my sickness, but Im trying my best to eat for his sake. My doctor has me on zithropac (amphyiztome...blah) sorry...i have no idea how its spelled, it says on the directions you can take it with or without food. Just for babies sake, should I eat before taking it? Also I have pink eye in both my eyes, and Im on antibiotic eyedrops for that as well. Im afraid all this medicine could hurt my baby.
