Will washing my clothes on the delicate cycle reduce damage from the agitator?

washing your clothes on the delicate cycle won't hurt your clothes but if you are washing heavy loads like towels or jeans it can hurt your washer. It causes it to work much harder trying to move the clothes around on these loads and can cause premature transmissin failure. I recommend getting a front loader washer because 1. it uses less water 2. no agitator 3. will get your clothes cleaner, and 4 won't tear up your clothes. oh and 5 it will create shorter drying times as it spins out the water better in your clothes. Also useing the right laundry soap and amount helps also.
