Any doctors out there?!?

So i have gotten 6 or 7 cold sores in a month and a half...i don't think that is normal. My lips really hurt. They are chapped and itchy. I was wondering if it is serious enough to go and see a doctor. I never gotten that many in such a short period of time. I don't drink after anyone and don't kiss anyone either so i do not know why they keep reappearing. I got 3 at one time and after a couple of weeks they went away. Two weeks later a total of 3 or 4 came again. I also feel another one coming. What could this be and what could i do to stop it? thank you for your help
